Hearts are closing in on a deal for former Celtic academy product Calvin Miller despite previous suggestions the Hoops could revisit their interest this summer.
Miller has rebuilt his career impressively since leaving Celtic, becoming one of the key figures behind Falkirk’s rise back through the divisions.
Starting in League One, the winger played a major role in successive promotions before helping Falkirk secure a top-six Premiership finish during their first season back in the top flight.
His performances attracted growing attention across Scottish football.
Celtic were strongly linked with Miller during the January transfer window, with reports suggesting teh Hoops were exploring a possible move despite Falkirk publicly attempting to play down the speculation at the time.
Journalist Robert Grieve later insisted the interest from Celtic had been genuine.
Now though, it appears Hearts have moved decisively before Celtic ever seriously entered the race again.

It is believed an agreement could potentially be reached within the next 48 hours after several days of talks between the clubs.
Miller enjoyed arguably the best season of his career last campaign, scoring nine goals and registering 11 assists across all competitions as Falkirk comfortably established themselves back in the Premiership.
For Hearts, the move would represent another strong piece of business after their title challenge under Derek McInnes ultimately fell short against Celtic on the final day.
Both them and Rangers have been making moves this summer, while Celtic haven’t been able to appoint a manager, despite their six months’ notice…

The Celtic board are a disgrace. Absolutely useless.
he wasnt good for us the first time around and I still dont think he is good enough for us now
