Camilo Duran’s Celtic move is now just waiting on the official announcement, but the Colombian striker has already been pictured in club colours at the warm-weather training camp in Portugal.
Images circulating on social media show Durán wearing Celtic training gear after linking up with his new teammates ahead of the deal being confirmed by the club. One photo shows the forward smiling in a green Celtic top, while another appears to show him out on the training pitch as the squad continue their pre-season work.

With Durán wearing number 11 in training, it is the clearest sign yet that the transfer is at the final stage.
Martin O’Neill had already confirmed after Celtic’s draw with Shelbourne that Durán was due to undergo a medical and join the squad in Portugal. That has now happened, with the player already around the group before Celtic make the move official.
O’Neill said after the game: “We’ve got some things on the go at this minute. We’ve got a young lad, Duran, so hopefully he will be doing a medical tomorrow, join us in Portugal.”
He also gave a short insight into what Celtic believe the striker can bring.
O’Neill said: “Obviously he’s still very young. I think that what he can do is that I think he can hold up play.
“I think he’s strong in that there, in that department. We need a few players. It’s as simple as that. But I do think that he will be a good addition. Famous last word.”
Durán arrives from Qarabağ after a strong season in Azerbaijan, where he scored 15 goals and also made an impact in Europe. Celtic have moved to add another forward option early in pre-season, with supporters waiting for the first official signing announcement of the window.
The move has even drawn a response from the Azerbaijani Embassy in London.
In an unusual post, the Embassy endorsed Durán’s move to Celtic and said the transfer helps strengthen the sporting connection between Azerbaijan and Scotland.
That is not something seen often when Celtic complete a transfer, but it shows the level of attention around the deal in Azerbaijan after Durán’s spell with Qarabağ.
For Celtic, the important part is that the player is now with the squad and already getting to work. The announcement may still be to come, but the photos from Portugal have removed any real doubt over where this one is heading.
Durán is in the Hoops, training with Celtic, and ready to begin life under O’Neill as the club’s summer business finally starts to move.
