Chris Sutton didn’t hold back after Rangers let another big moment slip, this time surrendering a lead against league leaders Hearts in a must-win title clash.

The loss for Rangers leaves them all but out of this title race, after they also fell to defeat against Motherwell at home last week.
At the centre of Sutton’s criticism was captain James Tavernier.
The 34-year-old full-back was heavily involved with set-pieces and trying to drive his side on, until it really mattered.
And Sutton made sure to call out the departing captain.
“Look at the Rangers captain. That sums him up, his whole time at Rangers,” Sutton said post-match on Sky Sports.
“He has the heart the size of a pea. He really does.
“He’s bad on both goals. He should react. He should smell the danger and try and block it.
“He is so lax — he has killed his team there.”

With Rangers now effectively out of the title race, Opta giving them just a 1% chance, the scrutiny only intensifies.
Tavernier has already confirmed that he’s leaving the club this summer, and he’ll be leaving trophyless. Very, very fitting for the most unsuccessful Rangers captain.
Over the last 15 years, Rangers have gone trophyless 12 times.
That’s the standard of club they are now. They can sing Simply The Best and all about their ’55’ titles all they want, but they need to face the reality – they might not even be the second-best team in Scotland anymore.
I’m sure Callum McGregor will have a special message for James Tavernier next week.
