Celtic remain interested in Las Palmas goalkeeper Dinko Horkas, but claims of a formal offer being on the table appear premature.
The Croatian has emerged as one of the more serious names around Celtic’s goalkeeper search in recent days, with reports in Spain claiming the Hoops have opened contact with Las Palmas over a possible move.

However, CeltsAreHere understands from a Las Palmas insider that the situation has not yet reached the stage of a formal offer.
The club’s position is that there is interest in Horkas, but no official bid has been received at this point.
There have also been claims around a possible fee close to €4million, but that figure is understood to be inaccurate.
Horkas has a €30million release clause in his Las Palmas contract. While release clauses in Spain do not always reflect the final fee a club would accept, CeltsAreHere understands that any deal below €10million would currently be viewed as highly unlikely from the Las Palmas side.
The goalkeeper remains under contract until 2028, which gives Las Palmas a strong position in any negotiations. The club are also understood to be counting on him for next season unless a serious proposal arrives.
That does not mean Horkas will definitely stay in Spain this summer. There is clearly interest in the player. But as things stand, the idea of a low-fee deal being close does not match the position coming from Gran Canaria.
Horkas played 43 times last season and kept 14 clean sheets. Across his time with Las Palmas, he has made 59 appearances, including 16 in La Liga.
But if Celtic want to take him from Las Palmas, the fee being talked about publicly may have to go up a fair bit.
For now, Celtic are interested, but there is no formal offer on the table.
