Elijah Just’s agent Gustaf Grauers, speaking exclusively to CeltsAreHere, has addressed growing interest in the Motherwell attacker amid reports linking Celtic with a summer move.

The New Zealand international has emerged as a name under consideration as the Hoops look at options to add something different in the final third next season.

The link follows a strong season from the Motherwell player, who has worked his way into the spotlight with strong performances in attacking areas. His end product has played a big role in how his side have approached games, especially when they’ve looked to break quickly.

CeltsAreHere asked Grauers directly whether there had been any contact from Celtic regarding Just, and while he acknowledged interest in the player, he stopped short of naming any clubs or confirming specific approaches.

He said: “I can confirm that there is interest in Elijah without going into specifics but he remains fully focused on Motherwell and to finish the season strong.

“And then for the upcoming World Cup with New Zealand.”

Just still has games left with Motherwell, where he’s been a big part of their play out wide, especially when they break forward and try to pull teams apart.

The World Cup adds something else to it. If he has a strong tournament with New Zealand, more clubs will take notice and his price will climb.

From a Celtic point of view, he looks like someone who could improve the side, especially in games where the Hoops have lacked direct running and a bit of drive in the final third.

But it comes down to timing. If Celtic hang back and Just catches the eye at the World Cup, the fee goes up and the list of interested clubs gets longer.
