Elijah Just’s outstanding World Cup has not gone unnoticed.
The Motherwell winger heads back to Scotland on Monday after New Zealand’s elimination, but it may not be long before his future becomes one of the biggest transfer stories of the summer.
After scoring three goals at the tournament, Just has significantly enhanced his reputation on the world stage.
Now, interest is beginning to intensify.
New Zealand journalist Michael Burgess has revealed that several heavyweight clubs are monitoring the 26-year-old.
Posting on social media, Burgess said:

The Herald, who Burgess writes for, reports that top-flight clubs in France have already expressed interest, while a number of British sides are also keeping close tabs on the Motherwell star.
The Hoops have been linked with Just for several months, with the club showing interest before the World Cup got underway.
However, his performances in North America have inevitably increased both his profile and, potentially, his price.
As CeltsAreHere revealed this week, the player’s situation is expected to be assessed once he returns from international duty.
That assessment is expected to begin after he arrives back in Scotland on Monday.
Motherwell are under no immediate pressure to sell.
Just remains under contract at Fir Park until 2027, while the club also hold an option to extend that agreement by a further year.
CeltsAreHere understands that extension has not yet been activated.
However, Motherwell retain the right to trigger it, placing the Premiership club in a strong negotiating position if formal bids arrive.
That means any interested club, whether Celtic or one of the sides now tracking him from Britain and France, will need to make an offer that works for both Motherwell and the player.
The coming days could therefore prove significant.
With the World Cup now behind him, discussions around Just’s future are expected to accelerate.
