Claims that Celtic have reached an agreement to sign Haissem Hassan are understood to be premature, with CeltsAreHere able to clarify the current position.
Reports emerged yesterday suggesting the Hoops had struck a deal for the Real Oviedo winger, sparking excitement among supporters already anticipating the arrival of Kasper Høgh.
Had the reports been accurate, it would have capped a remarkable weekend for Celtic, with Hassan seemingly set to follow the Danish striker to Glasgow.
However, CeltsAreHere understands there is currently no agreement in place for the 24-year-old.

The journalist who initially claimed a deal had been reached has since deleted the social media post that sparked the speculation.
That should serve as a reminder for supporters to exercise caution during the transfer window, particularly when it comes to accounts on X carrying verification badges, which anyone can now pay for. Using Celtic’s name in a tweet, while fans are so desperate for signings, brings a lot of interaction, and that’s simply what some journalists are, sadly, after, it seems.
That is not to say a move is off.
CeltsAreHere understands Celtic remain in negotiations over a deal for Hassan, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract with Real Oviedo.
The Scottish champions continue to explore a move for the winger, and there remains optimism that an agreement can eventually be reached.
But suggestions the transfer is effectively complete or close to being announced are, at this stage, wide of the mark.

The only reason they’re buying Hogh is because Daizen Maeda is such a loss to the team and they’re simply using the money from his sale. But they’re not spending a penny from the hoarded £100m in the bank.
