Celtic are interested in Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek following his impressive loan spell at Bristol City, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
O’Rourke reports that Celtic are now keeping a close eye on the Czech goalkeeper as Martin O’Neill continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Vitek enjoyed an excellent season with Bristol City, making 41 Championship appearances and keeping 12 clean sheets.
His performances were recognised at the club’s end-of-season awards, where he was named Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Winning all three awards shows the impact he made during his year in the Championship and how highly he was rated by both his teammates and the Bristol City support.
Vitek joined Manchester United from Czech side Sigma Olomouc in 2020 and was part of the club’s FA Youth Cup-winning squad.
He has yet to make a competitive senior appearance for United, but he has built up valuable experience through loan spells with Accrington Stanley, Austrian side Blau-Weiss Linz and Bristol City.
Standing at around 6ft 6in, Vitek offers plenty of size and presence in goal.
Manchester United have previously highlighted his reactions and willingness to come off his line and deal with deliveries into the penalty area.
His age and recent experience could make him an interesting option for Celtic.
Despite being only 22, Vitek has already played regular senior football in England and Austria and has just completed the strongest season of his career.
Celtic currently have Viljami Sinisalo and Ross Doohan among their senior goalkeeping options.
Any new arrival would add further competition for the gloves as O’Neill looks to build a squad capable of dealing with the domestic campaign and the club’s early Champions League qualifiers.
There is no indication at this stage that Celtic have submitted an offer or opened formal talks with Manchester United.
O’Rourke’s report points only to interest from the Scottish champions, meaning the situation should still be viewed as being at an early stage.
Manchester United will also have a decision to make over Vitek’s next step.
Another loan could give him further first-team football, while his performances at Bristol City may also attract clubs interested in a permanent deal.
For Celtic, the goalkeeper fits the profile of a young player who has already shown he can handle the demands of regular senior football.
Whether that interest develops into something more serious remains to be seen, but Vitek’s form last season means he is unlikely to be short of options this summer.
