Celtic’s trip to Motherwell this Wednesday will now be shown live on Sky Sports after the broadcaster reversed its original plans.
When the Premiership fixtures were first selected for coverage, Heartsβ clash with Falkirk was the only match picked for live broadcast. Supporters following events at Fir Park were initially left with the promise of goal updates as they happened.
That decision did not go down particularly well, given the state of the title race, and Sky have now moved to show the full 90 minutes from North Lanarkshire alongside events elsewhere.
Motherwell had already confirmed the game would be available on a pay-per-view basis through the club. That will still be the case, but Sky has now stepped in to show the fixture live too.

It was the obvious call.
With two decisive matches taking place at the same time, attention will be split across both grounds. Celtic and Hearts remain separated by a single point going into the final two league fixtures of the season.
Heartsβ draw away to Motherwell on Saturday night opened the door for Martin OβNeillβs side. Celtic took full advantage less than 24 hours later with an outstanding performance in the Glasgow Derby to pull the gap back to the minimum again.
Now the pressure ramps up again.
If both Celtic and Hearts win on Wednesday night, the league title will head into the final day still hanging in the balance. That would leave Saturdayβs meeting between the two sides at Celtic Park carrying enormous weight.
That match has already been selected for live coverage by Sky Sports, with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm.
For all the frustration supporters have had with parts of this season, the run-in has delivered exactly what a title race should. Every point matters, every mistake is punished, and the mood seems to swing every couple of days.
There are only two games left now. Celtic know exactly what is in front of them.
