The Hoops will return to action after the World Cup to take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie with a few other difficult away days to follow.

Celtic had no issues in the Granite City last season and will be hoping for similar outcomes with the Hoops taking a maximum of six points from both games.

Following the trip north, it’s back-to-back home matches for the Scottish champions as they entertain Livingston and St Johnstone at Celtic Park before Christmas.

Postecoglou’s side will then make the journey to the capital to take on Hibs, the Easter Road hoodoo in the league, eventually being put to an end last season after a terrific victory in October.

It’s then the blockbuster match to conclude the first five games back with the small matter of a Glasgow derby game which will be the second time both clubs have met each other this season with Celtic coming out on top after a 4-0 thumping.

Although there may be some tricky away games in the mix, Postecoglou’s side will still be looking to take maximum points and extended their lead at the top of the table.

The form in the league has almost been perfect this season and the break will hopefully refresh the squad to come back firing on all fronts.
