Celtic loanee Luis Palma made his impact from the bench for Lech Poznań on Sunday, producing a goal and an assist in a short but decisive spell during their draw with GKS Katowice.

The winger came on with his side chasing the game. Poznań were behind and struggling to break through, with the match starting to slip away as time moved on.

Palma arrived with just over 20 minutes to play and quickly lifted the tempo. His direct approach and willingness to take players on gave Poznań a different option in the final third.

In that time, he delivered both a goal and an assist, helping turn it into a 3–3 draw. It was a sharp contribution in limited minutes, and one that kept his side right in the title race.

Poznań remain top of the table, but the gap is narrow. Dropped points here would have tightened things further, which made Palma’s impact even more valuable in the context of the standings.

The game suited him as it opened up late on. With more space to attack, Palma was able to run at defenders rather than work against a settled back line.

That has been a pattern in his season. He has often been used from the bench, coming on when games stretch and space appears. In those moments, he has shown he can make things happen quickly.

This cameo follows that trend. It was not about controlling the game over the full 90 minutes. It was about making an impact, and he did exactly that.

For Celtic, it is another reminder of what he brings. Palma can change a game in a short spell, especially when the pace lifts and defenders are pulled out of shape.

The question is still around his role over a full match. At Poznań, he has not always started, and his minutes have been managed across the season.

Even so, moments like this keep him in the picture. When the game needed something different, Palma stepped up.
