Paul McStay has delivered his first message as the face of the new Celtic Season Ticket Alliance, setting out a clear idea of what the group is trying to build.
The former Celtic captain has stepped into the role as part of Willie Haughey’s plan to create a collective voice for supporters. The project is built around season ticket holders, with the aim of forming a shareholding group that can engage with the club.

McStay’s role gives the project more credibility straight away. He’s a figure supporters trust, and he isn’t tied to the current decision-makers at the club.
His opening message centred on getting fans pulling in the same direction again. With the title still up for grabs, the focus is split between backing the team through these games and dealing with the wider issues off the pitch.
He said: via (Go Radio Football Show), “Welcome to the Season Ticket Alliance.
“This is the place where Celtic fans can come together and lift our voices above the noise, make our opinions clear.
“The 54,000 season ticket holders are the core of the club.
“They are the heartbeat of Celtic.”
The alliance is being built around those who are there every week, the supporters who fill the stands and follow the team through a full season.
Haughey has confirmed the next step is close. The alliance is set to go live on April 17, just over a week away, with further details due to be released in the coming days.
That timeline matters. It gives supporters a clear point where interest turns into action, and where numbers start to shape how much weight the idea carries.

On the pitch, Celtic are heading into a run of games where there is no room for drift. Performances have swung at times this season, and that has fed into the wider frustration around the club.
Off it, this is the first time McStay has spoken since taking on the role. What follows depends on how many supporters buy into the plan and whether it can turn into something that holds influence.
