Celtic’s dressing room celebrations took another swipe at Rangers after the title win over Hearts as players were filmed singing “Simply The Best” following the dramatic final-day comeback at Celtic Park.
The song has long been associated with Rangers and Ibrox, but Celtic supporters have increasingly turned it into a wind-up over recent years during derby victories and title celebrations. Saturday night brought another twist after Martin O’Neill’s side sealed the Premiership in chaotic fashion.

Videos from inside the dressing room showed Celtic players belting out the song while celebrations continued after the 3-1 victory over Hearts.
It was not hard to understand the mood.
Celtic looked finished in the title race earlier in the season after the defeat at Tannadice and spent weeks chasing Hearts during a tense run-in. Even on the final day they trailed for long spells after Lawrence Shankland’s opener stunned Celtic Park in the first half.
Arne Engels equalised from the penalty spot before Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand turned the title race completely around late in the game.
By full-time supporters had flooded onto the pitch while celebrations exploded across Glasgow.
Inside the dressing room, the Celtic squad clearly knew exactly what they were doing once “Simply The Best” started playing.
The title also pushed Celtic onto 56 league championships, moving them further clear as Scotland’s most successful club. The number now sits beyond the combined total claimed by both Rangers entities following the liquidation of the original company in 2012, something supporters have repeatedly highlighted throughout the season.
That edge has hung over the rivalry for years now and Saturday only intensified it again.
Celtic players have not exactly hidden from the needle with Rangers over the last few seasons either. Supporters previously sang “Simply The Best” loudly at Ibrox during derby matches and title celebrations, especially during periods where Celtic held control domestically.

Saturday’s dressing room scenes felt like another chapter in that.
For Rangers supporters it will sting badly given how close Hearts came to stopping Celtic on the final day. For Celtic players though, it looked like the perfect soundtrack to another title party after one of the most dramatic finishes the league has seen in years.
