Celtic tickets for the opening league match of the season against Dundee went on sale at 10am on Friday, with the early seating map showing availability across a wide spread of Celtic Park.
The match takes place on Monday, August 3, with a 7.30pm kick-off. Celtic will unfurl the league flag before Martin O’Neill’s side begin the defence of their Premiership title.
Adult tickets start at £37, while prices for under-16s and supporters aged 65 or over begin at £26. Under-13 tickets are available from £17, with a £1.60 booking fee applied to each purchase.
The map viewed after tickets went on sale showed dark-blue availability in several areas of the stadium, including sections of the North Stand, Jock Stein Stand, Lisbon Lions Stand and Main Stand side of the ground.
Further sections were marked in light blue, indicating that seats remained available but did not match the filters selected at the time.
The image does not show the exact number of tickets available in each block, so it cannot provide a confirmed total of unsold seats. Some sections may contain only a limited number, while others could offer a much wider choice.
It also does not account for season-ticket holders who may decide not to attend. Those seats would normally remain unavailable on the map unless returned to the club for resale.
Even with those limitations, the spread of available sections is notable for the opening league game of the campaign and the traditional flag-day occasion.
The ticket sale comes during a tense period between sections of the Celtic support and the club’s hierarchy.
Anger over the board and the slow pace of transfer activity has remained high during pre-season. Camilo Duran is still the only new arrival of the summer, with the start of the league campaign now approaching quickly.
There have also been protests and boycotts during the wider dispute, although the map alone cannot be treated as proof of an organised boycott of the Dundee fixture.
It does, however, offer an early indication of demand. The number of blue sections suggests supporters buying on Friday morning had a broad choice of areas rather than being restricted to scattered seats.
A clearer picture will emerge nearer kick-off, particularly when the attendance inside Celtic Park can be compared with the number of season-ticket seats officially sold.
For now, the online map adds another point of interest around a fixture that would usually carry significant demand as Celtic raise the flag and begin another title defence.
