Celtic are in discussions over a potential move for Fares Ghedjemis according to SkySports with the January window entering a critical final stretch.
The French winger, currently with Frosinone, is one of several names under consideration as the hoops try to solve a right-wing problem that has lingered all season.
With Monday’s deadline approaching fast, time is no longer on their side. As of Thursday, the club’s only activity has been two loan deals, a return that has left supporters frustrated and the squad under strain.
At 23, Ghedjemis has been one of Serie B’s standout attacking performers. Deployed mainly on the right, he has produced eight goals and two assists, combining direct running with composure in the final third. Those numbers help explain why Celtic have taken notice.
Celtic have lacked consistency on the right since Nicolas Kühn departed in the summer. Yang Hyun-jun has improved and shown flashes of quality, but he has yet to convince that he can own the role long term, especially in a season where small margins have carried big consequences.
This is not simply about adding cover. It is about fixing a structural weakness. Celtic need pace, unpredictability, and someone who can stretch defences from the right, whether against packed domestic blocks or in Europe where transitions decide games.

The clock, though, is ticking loudly. With no permanent signings completed and only days remaining, any move will need to happen quickly. There is also the familiar question of intent. Will Celtic push this deal over the line, or does it drift into another case of late interest without action?
Supporters have seen this pattern before. Targets are identified, conversations take place, then hesitation creeps in as the deadline looms. The need is clear, the numbers suggest Ghedjemis could offer something different, and the squad needs help now, not later.
Whether Celtic can turn discussions into a completed deal before Monday will say plenty about how seriously they plan to attack the second half of the season.
