Celtic are being credited with interest in Plymouth Argyle striker Lorent Tolaj, but they are not alone.
The English League One forward has had a standout season, scoring 21 goals and adding seven assists in 38 appearances. That return has put him on the radar ahead of the summer window.
Tolaj is not unfamiliar with Scottish football. He had a brief loan spell at Dundee earlier in his career while on the books at Brighton, though it never properly got going.
His form down south has changed that. There is now real interest building, with Championship sides circling.
Sheffield United are among those keeping tabs, while Derby County and Millwall have also entered the picture. The update comes via journalist Pete O’Rourke, who shared the latest on X.

Celtic’s interest stretches back to the winter window, but the competition is clearly growing. That may shape how serious any move becomes.
There is a need to address the striker position. That has been clear for months.
Kelechi Iheanacho has shown flashes of quality, but his availability has been an issue. Injuries have disrupted any rhythm and left Celtic short at key moments.
Tomas Cvancara and Junior Adamu have not done enough to convince. Both are expected to return to their parent clubs, despite options to make the deals permanent.
Johnny Kenny’s form at Bolton Wanderers has at least given the club something to think about. He has found goals in a promotion push, though whether that translates into a role at Celtic is still up in the air.
A lot of these calls will sit with the next permanent manager. Until that appointment is made, there is a degree of holding pattern around recruitment.
In the meantime, the focus remains on the title run-in. There are four league games left and no room for slip-ups.
Martin O’Neill will be expected to drive standards through the final stretch before attention turns to the Scottish Cup final on 23 May.
As for Tolaj, it is one to watch rather than anything concrete for now. Celtic have decisions to make across the forward line, and this summer looks like a reset in that area.
