Celtic’s social media team picked their moment perfectly after Sunday’s huge derby win over Rangers at Celtic Park.
Before kick-off, Rangers had posted a short message on X which simply read: “💙 Away Days”.
At the time, it looked like standard pre-match build-up ahead of one of the biggest games of the Scottish season. Rangers arrived in the east end knowing a victory could put serious pressure on Celtic and leave Hearts within touching distance of the title.
Instead, the afternoon swung heavily in Celtic’s favour after the break.
Martin O’Neill’s side recovered from an early setback to win 3-1 and keep the title race alive heading into the final two matches of the campaign. Yang Hyun-jun equalised before half-time before Daizen Maeda produced two brilliant finishes after the interval.
The second goal from Maeda completely changed the mood inside the stadium.
Kieran Tierney drove forward from the left and whipped a dangerous ball across the six-yard box for the Japanese forward to guide home. Then came the overhead kick.
Sebastian Tounekti’s cross looped awkwardly into the area and Maeda somehow adjusted his body before sending an acrobatic finish beyond Jack Butland from around 14 yards out. Celtic Park erupted.
Not long after full-time, Celtic replied directly underneath Rangers’ original post with: “💚 #ParadiseOnYourMind”

It was the kind of online moment supporters enjoy even more after a derby win.
Especially one carrying this level of pressure.
The victory moved Celtic back to within one point of Hearts after the Edinburgh side had dropped points against Motherwell on Saturday night. Rangers are now seven behind Celtic and officially out of the title race.
Attention now turns to Fir Park on Wednesday before Hearts arrive at Celtic Park for the final game of the season.
After Sunday, the mood around Celtic feels completely different again.
