Celtic have found out this evening they have incurred a €12.5k fine for their fans use of flairs and crowd disturbance at the AIK away game in Sweden.
Celtic thumped the home side 4-1 to get into the group stage but the club have been punished for fans bringing in pyro and using it in the stands.
Celtic have been fined in the past by UEFA for similar instances.
The club have yet to comment on the fine but are likely to urge fans not to put the club in the firing line by bringing pyro into the stadium.
It can create an incredible visual but if it’s going to continue to cost the club money and potential harsher punishments then fans may want to leave the pyro for outside the ground.
