Daizen Maeda will be available after his two-match suspension was successfully overturned following Celtic’s appeal. Originally set to miss tonight’s clash, Maeda’s energy and goal-scoring form will be vital against Bayern.

There were concerns over Kasper Schmeichel’s fitness after he missed the Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers at the weekend due to a back issue. However, the Danish goalkeeper was spotted in training and is expected to be available for selection tonight.

Cameron Carter-Vickers also sat out the Raith Rovers match, but this was simply a rotation decision by Brendan Rodgers to manage the defender’s workload. Rodgers has confirmed that the American centre-back is fully fit and ready to face Bayern’s formidable attack.

“Yes, I think he’s fit and available,” Rodgers confirmed to Celtic TV.

“We gave a few of the boys a bit of rest at the weekend, but yes, he’s fine.”

Interestingly, Carter-Vickers has previous experience facing Harry Kane during his time at Tottenham Hotspur, which could prove invaluable as he prepares to battle the England captain once again.

“He’ll have played against Harry before in training and whatnot. So, yes, he’s okay.”

With key players like Maeda, Schmeichel, and Carter-Vickers available, Celtic will be at full strength as they aim to pull off a famous European result against Bayern Munich.
