The SPFL has confirmed several changes to Celtic’s domestic fixture schedule following the club’s demotion to the UEFA Europa League league phase.
Celtic should have been playing Champions League football this season, but because the squad went into the Kairat Almaty clash underprepared, they were knocked out, failing to score in 210 minutes of football against the Kazakhstani team.
With all European ties to be played on Thursdays, apart from the opener, the Hoops’ domestic matches have been pushed to Sundays to accommodate recovery and preparation time. Most changes affect fixtures between October and February, with kickoff times also confirmed for several games, but not all.
