Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli could be set to depart the club with interest coming from the newly-promoted Turkish side Altay SK, as reported by the Daily Record

The Belgian spent the entire of last season out on loan in the Süper Lig with Istanbul Basaksehir. Of course, fans will remember the reasoning for that with Bolingoli being shipped out due to his actions in breaking Covid regulations early last campaign.

During the early stages of last seasons with the 2019/20 Turkish champions, the 25-year old looked to have revitalised his career playing in the Champions League against the likes of Manchester United and PSG.

However, a bad knee injury resulted in him missing a large chunk of the season before returning late in the campaign to help in a shock battle against relegation.

At the end of the season, Basaksehir decided against taking up their option to buy on the left-back. However, now it looks like he could be set for a return to Turkey with Altay, who has been promoted to the top flight for the first time in 18 years – with Bolingoli being lined up as a possible ‘marquee signing’.
