Today the Scottish Government have announced that Celtic have been given the all clear to head off on their pre-season trip to France.
First minister, Nicola Sturgeon has approved travel to 57 different countries, including France, without having to self-isolate for 14 days on their return to Scotland.
The Daily Record have reported that the club are expected to travel to face Nice and Lyon at the Groupama Stadium before heading to the French capital for the final friendly fixture against Paris Saint-Germain.
They are also expected to be joined in France by their neighbours across the city. However, both sides will not be coming up against one and other.
In the last week both clubs were left a little bit panicked, without yet having the confirmation of being able to travel abroad to other countries. So it will be a relief to them that they finally have the go ahead to travel without any concern.
There is still yet to be an announcement though around whether Scottish clubs can face off against each other in a bounce game.
Many fans will be looking forward to the return of the hoops having not seen the champions in action for around five months.
Isn’t it the case that the 57 countries have given their consent to allow travel into their country. What has madam nicola got to do with the matter? Wee woman, acting the big shot. We are getting the “look at me…look at me” again!
