BRENDAN RODGERS has revealed the players will get the chance to train at Murrayfield this week ahead of the Bet Fred League Cup Semi-Final.

The Celtic manager confirmed that Celtic have got the go-ahead to go in and get a feel for the place ahead of such a big game.

“It’s a game I’m looking forward to, we’ll train at Murrayfield this week so we’ll get a feel for that,” Rodgers told Celtic TV.

“It’s obviously a big stadium, they tell me it’s a lovely pitch

“You’ve got to go and impose the pitch, it will be a tough game against Hearts”

“Hearts are doing well, very consistent but we’re a totally different team to when we played them earlier this season”

Some of the Celtic players have played at Murrayfield before under Ronny Deila when the club played two Euro qualifiers at the venue.

Celtic were sensationally put out of the Champions League qualifiers by Legia Warsaw but due to an admin error by the Polish side, they were dropped from the competition.

Rodgers bemoaned having to play in Edinburgh with not so much as an explanation as to why it was Celtic’s semi-final that would be moved from Hampden.

The bhoys have a trip to German wedged in before then and will likely train at Murrayfield tomorrow or Wednesday.
