TOM ROGIC has received glowing praise from his International boss Graham Arnold as the Socceroos boss looks to the future.

Arnold worked with a young Tom Rogic at Central Coast Mariners back in the day before the midfielder made the move to Celtic.

Now in charge of the national team, he sees his former youth prodigy as the man to take Australia to a new level.

“Tommy’s an important piece in the team but also for Australian football,” Arnold told reporters.

“He’s a player that excites everyone. He does it every week at Celtic. When I watch him every week I’m very proud to have been a part of his career in the past.

“I only see Tommy Rogic going to another level with us over the next four years.”

Rogic is one of Australia’s most senior men now with a lot of the old guard retiring after the summer’s World Cup.

The Australia boss wants to make sure the Celtic hero is primed and ready for the next chapter in the Socceroos history.

Tom is a player who can turn a game and do something special. With the right players around him, the Scottish Cup winner can be a massive advantage to any side.
