Celtic are reportedly interested in making a move for SD Eibar goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic

As reported by the Daily Record, speaking on the latest episode of the Celtic huddle podcast, former fullback Mark Wilson revealed the clubs supposed interest in yet another goalkeeper.

“Just on transfers – transfer story that we’re hearing rumours about – well documented, the goalkeeper hasn’t covered himself in glory – Marko Dmitrovic, plays in La Liga with Eibar.

“28-year-old Serbian internationalist, he’s out of contract in the summer. Would it be something that, if Neil’s still there, he’d be trying to tie that up in January?”

So far this season, Neil Lennon’s side have had their fair share of goalkeeping troubles.

Vasilias Barkas joined the club in the summer in a deal worth around £5 million but has failed to convince some Celtic fans that he is the man to lead the hoops forward as number one at the club. Whilst Scott Bain and more recently Conor Hazard have also been given a chance in between the sticks.

With that being said I don’t think it would be a surprise to see the club bringing in another keeper in January or at least trying to.

Dmitrovic’s contract with the Spanish club comes to an end next summer, so they may be looking to get a cheaper deal out of it in the January window at a cut price for the Serbian international keeper.
