Celtic goalkeeper Ross Doohan is reportedly set to complete his loan move to English League 2 side Tranmere Rovers.

According to the Herald, the 23-year old will make the temporary move down south until the end of the season, completing his medical tomorrow morning before joining up with the Tranmere squad later in the week.

The signing of Joe Hart has knocked the young stopper further down the pecking order, so going out and getting first-team minutes will be better for his development at this stage of his career.

Previously he has had loan spells with several different Scottish clubs, including Ayr United and Ross County.

His most recent move came late last season, where he spent the last few games of the 2020/21 campaign with Dundee United on an emergency loan.

At Tannadice, he caught the eye of Micky Mellon, who has now made the move back down south to manage Tranmere and looks to have secured Doohan for his side next season.
