Celtic are set to massively benefit from the signing of Oh Hyeon-gyu after it was confirmed that a South Korean sports channel will broadcast EVERY Celtic game.

The 21-year-old forward made the switch to the Scottish champions during the January transfer window from K-League side Suwon Bluewings.

Much had been made about Celtic’s interest in Cho Gue-sung, but Ange Postecoglou latterly revealed that Oh was, in fact, the striker he wanted to sign.

He will have to bide his time due to the form which Kyogo Furuhashi is in, but now South Koreans will be able to tune in and track his progress after it was announced that SPOTV will broadcast all Celtic games.

Oh became the Hoops third South Korean signing after Cha Du-ri and Ki Sung-yueng who also had games broadcast live on television.

It means that there is a very possible chance that Oh did tune in to Celtic games in the past to watch both players.

The first match to be shown is the away fixture against Ross County. T he sports channel has mentioned an enormous demand to watch the games.

“There is a lot of demand from soccer fans who want to watch the matches of Korean leaguers who have entered Europe, so we decided to broadcast Oh Hyun-gyu’s match,” said a statement from [SPOTV].

“As the players are showing outstanding performance, we ask for a lot of support from soccer fans so that Oh Hyun-kyu can show a good performance.”

The brand of the club continues to grow in other countries, and it is also reported possibly that Celtic could participate in a match in Seoul during the summer [Read more here].
