CELTIC has been gifted a massive chance to gain a lead at the top of the SPFL table after The Rangers dropped points in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
Hibs hosted the Ibrox club, and despite going behind twice, Lee Johnson’s side managed to hold on and share the points with Giovanni Van Brunkhorst’s men.
Celtic face Hearts on Sunday afternoon, hosting the side who finished in the ‘best of the rest’ place last season.
If Postecoglou’s side manages to secure a win, they will gain a lead at the top of the table and sit two points clear of their rivals.
If Celtic maintain their perfect record, they will sit at least two points clear heading into the first derby of the season in September. The Rangers have a tough run of games, with trips to Aberdeen and Hearts lined up after the clash at Celtic Park.
The Ibrox club’s week could still get worse, with a win needed in Holland against a good PSV side to secure Champions League group stage football.
I am not saying you are, but, please don’t jump the gun. Listen to Ange. They don’t matter. It’s what we do that will count in the end. I follow Celtic, Celtic and Celtic and all that matters is a win each time we take the park. We can gloat when that work is done. I never look at their results and often find out they lost, a week later !!!
