New Sheffield United boss Slavisa Jokanovic has insisted that he doesn’t expect many players to be leaving the recently relegated club amidst right-back George Baldock’s links to Celtic.
The 28-year old has been linked to the Hoops several times now and was once again mentioned as a possible target for Ange Postecoglou’s new-look side.
As quoted by the Glasgow Times, it looks like the club will need to look elsewhere for targets in the right-back position, with Jokanovic being insistent that no players will be going anywhere.
“I do not expect players to leave. I don’t have any benefits from this,” the manager told the Yorkshire Post.
The right-back area is certainly one that needs work done to it in terms of recruitment, with the 55-year old currently only having Anthony Ralston and Lee O’Connor to pick from.
Whilst they may offer some backup in the squad, a replacement is needed for Jeremie Frimpong, who departed last January.
The Hoops will likely have a list of names they are looking to recruit in that area. So hopefully, we can see some movement in the coming weeks.
