Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal are interested in signing Sheffield United Keeper Aaron Ramsdale.
This is despite the Gunners reportedly wanting to sign Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
Ryan was loaned out to Arsenal in the January window and made 3 appearances for the Gunners – could their interest in Ramsdale mean the London based club are no longer pursuing a permanent deal?
Celtic are said to be keen on signing the Aussie keeper after any of our three keepers impressed last season.
Barkas had his run in the team but never really lived up to expectations.
Conor Hazard was given his chance under Neil Lennon and even played in the Scottish Cup final which was delayed from the previous season due to the pandemic. Ultimately he was dropped.
Scott Bain became Celtic’s first-choice keeper but never performed well which resulted in fans wanting Barkas to be selected again, fans eventually got their way as the Scotsman suffered an injury towards the end of the season.
Many fans expected new manager Ange Postecoglou to give Barkas another go with there being a Greek link between the pair, however, this may not be the case. Ryan may reunite with his former coach in the East End of Glasgow.
