Celtic have reportedly been offered a transfer boost in the pursuit of Hadjuk Split defender Mario Vuskovic.

As reported by the Daily Record, according to Croatian outlet Slobodna Dalmacija both the Hoops and Serie A side Torino are interested in making a move for the 19-year old.

But, they claim that Celtic will be able to offer Vuskovic a wage packed more generous than the Italian side can.

So, this could put Celtic in a prime position for completing the move of the talented Croatian youngster, with the fee expected to be in the region of £5 million.

Under a month away from our first game in the Champions League qualifiers against Midtjylland, the club desperately needs defensive reinforcements.

New manager Ange Postecoglou admitted yesterday that he is looking to bring players in very soon as we prepare for the campaign ahead.

Fingers crossed, we can get more news on this in the next few days as the club ramp up their transfer dealings with Ange Postecoglou, finally getting to work in Glasgow.
