IF Celtic can win over two legs against Czech Republic side Jablonec, they will face AZ Alkmaar in the play-off round of the Europa League qualifiers.

The Hoops crashed out of the Champions League last week and will now look to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League. The club pulled off some famous results in the competition two seasons ago but last season the group stages were a disaster for the bhoys.

They will be hoping they can do enough to get there again but it’s not going to be an easy ride.

The club are not equipped for domestic action at the minute so European ambitions seem like running before we can walk again.

It’s vital Celtic play European football to both improve and create more revenue streams for the club as stadiums begin to reopen.

Three home ties in the Europa League in front of a new capacity crowd will certainly boost the coffers after 18 months of the doors being closed.
