There is no doubt the Celtic right-back position has been a cause for concern for Celtic for the past few seasons. On too many occasions Celtic have been forced to play players out of position in both the full-back slots.

With the departure of Lustig this week to Gent, the right-back position must be the top priority for Neil Lennon. According to The Sun yesterday Celtic are in for FC Copenhagen right-back Peter Ankersen.

Ankersen is leaving Copenhagen and according to these reports, Celtic have been “made aware” of the player’s ability. With Manny Perez expected to go back out on loan Anthony Ralston will be the only right-back currently at the club. The young Scot can’t seem to catch a break with injuries. The player seems to get 2/3 games under his belt before long spells out with injury

The Scottish champions should be announcing the signing of David Turnbull from Motherwell later on today.
