Late last night, a rumour started doing the rounds that Celtic’s Chief Scout, Lee Congerton had left his role with the club with immediate effect.
Fans took to Twitter to discuss the rumour with many hoping it was true because of the scouting track record since Lee took over.
The last two transfer windows have been less than successful for Celtic and when you take into account Celtic tried to sign Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele before Brendan Rodgers got to the club, the scouting form has been below par.
Rumours that Lee Congerton has left Celtic. Not sure he ever arrived.

Apparently Lee Congerton is gone.
(He’s not dead).

If Lee Congerton has left Celtic that is fantastic news. He is surely one of the worse scouts/ heads of recruitment in football. Dreadful guy.

If any fans were hoping the former Sunderland had moved on it looks like he’s staying put for now with the Scottish Daily Mail Chief Football Writer, Stephen McGowan appears to have asked the question but it has been refuted by sources at the club.

Celtic are about to hit another transfer window and big things are expected, there are a few positions which need to be filled and it’s up to Rodgers and whatever team he has in place to deliver with the board hopefully backing the Irishman.
