Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor has sent out a warning to fans about the safe standing area for Thursday evening.

The green brigade section was out of bounds for the Raith Rovers game on Sunday but should be back for the Bodo Glimt game.

Glasgow City Council are clearly watching closely and JP has warned supporters who don’t have a ticket not to enter the area on Thursday.

The section has been closed down for games before. On Sunday, it was shut down after the use of pyro from the stands during the Glasgow Derby.

It made for an incredible spectacle and many believe the club should look to open dialogue with the league and the council so displays like that can be used in the future.

Celtic welcome Bodo Glimt to Celtic Park on Thursday in what will be Celtic’s debut in the brand new competition.

Nobody wants to see the section shut down, we hope that people will take notice of JPs comments and make sure they don’t give GCC the ammunition to close it up for a prolonged period of time.

  1. If JPT and the board hadn’t ignored the increasingly deteriorating behaviour of the GB this season, they wouldn’t have reached the point now where it is clear that the decisions regarding the standing section are now beyond the club’s control.
