WITH HOURS LEFT of the summer transfer window, Celtic are ramping up their efforts to bring in two more players.

The first player who is expected to come in on-loan is Odsonne Edouard from PSG – that deal should be announced later today.

The other deal is more complex with a number of players in the frame before midnight tonight, one of them being Bristol City’s Aden Flint.

The 6ft 5″ defender has attracted interest from some English Premier Leagues this summer but has yet to see a move materialise.

Aden has made 170 league appearances for Bristol City, scoring 28 goals in the process. His height a major asset at set pieces as well as providing solid cover at the back.

Bristol City has scared clubs off with an overinflated price for the 28-year-old but Celtic believe there could be a deal here.

There are a number of defensive targets being talked to as we speak, we should have a better picture this afternoon if Celtic are making any progress.

  2. We do need a defender in imo, I know nothing about this lad tbh and while some reports are telling us we are in for him, others are saying we have no interest . Looking forward to the window closing and at least some decrease in the s point of waffle on these sites

  3. TocTic you don’t appear to be too interested or bothered with progress and success in Europe? As long as we qualify eh? We might get skelped 6 times but ‘ker-ching’ another huge amount of money that never gets spent It’s all prospects and lower league players. not really what was promised or what is needed to compete in the CL. But who cares! ‘Ker-ching’ all the money in the bank and the bonus culture maintained at boardroom level. Heated drive way anyone? What about an indoor pool?

  4. That French striker is supposed to be a loan to buy with the price set at 10m euros so that’s us improving our team is it not
