We’re less than 48 hours away from the transfer window closing and there are no signs at the moment Celtic are bringing any more in.
However, there have been developments in the past 24 hours with Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas claiming there’s another January Parkhead exit afoot.
Luca Connell was brought to Celtic in the summer from Bolton with the club paying a small fee for the player’s services. The midfielder is yet to make his first-team debut and has been playing well for the developmental side.
After letting two other summer recruits go out on loan this month; Jonathan Afalobi headed to Dungermline while Lee O’Connor signed for Partick Thistle, Luca Connell looks like he could be following them out the door.

Game time is important to these players development and Celtic might be wary of loaning Luca out to the wrong club who might not play him. Sunderland and Barnsley could be great options provided he does get a sustained run in either side.
