NEIL LENNON confirmed Hibs are currently trying to thrash out a deal which would see Scott Allan head for the Parkhead exit this month even though the player has already signed a pre-contract with the Edinburgh club.

Allan is set to begin his THIRD stint at Hibs in the summer after failing to make the grade at Celtic Park and while Lennon is glad to see the player come back in, he would prefer to bring Allan in during this window.

Asked if there was a good possibility of this happening the former Celtic boss told SunSport: “I don’t know where we are with that.

“Obviously that might go to the last couple of days of the window, I would imagine.”

Allan was brought in by Ronny Deila but has rarely seen action in a Celtic jersey. Many believe the player was just signed to wind up their Glasgow rivals who were trying to sign Allan at the time.

It would be best for all parties if Allan did move on this month but a deal is yet to be agreed.

  1. About time he was gone so he can get on with doing what he likes doing playing football,i see no point in buying in players we are never going use and we have more players like him that need moved on,we can win cups and leagues in Scotland and become legends with the set up we have but in the European games CL and EL we can take some big defeats, most teams keep any 1 from 2 any 4 or 5 from 6 any 4 or 5 from 6 and any 1 or 2 from 3 17 Top players on same top wage the club can pay them, and 5 more older back up players total 22 squad 14 players can get game time in any game every one gets game time and when asked any player from the 22 can do the job,we got some players looking like they do not know there team mates in games get the dead wood out now and lets do what we are good at playing football and winning games…
