The 30-year-old winger pulled up in training on Monday. However, it’s not a cause of concern for the Celtic manager.
It’s disappointing news. Just as the winger regained form and sharpness, he has faced a setback.
Hopefully, it’s not more severe than it seems, and the player can bounce back. Struggling with injuries over the last few seasons, Forrest will be worried about the growing trend.
Postecoglou will be thankful that he can welcome Liel Abada back to the side, meaning the impact of Forrest’s absence will not come as much of a blow.
At Tannadice, Celtic travelled without Jota and Abada and still managed to find the back of the net three times, four including the disallowed goal.
It’s great to see we are not over-reliant on players anymore and can cope with injuries.
