There will be some fans who don’t see this as a potential injury blow but while Odsonne Edouard is still at the club, the Hoops player is certainly a massive asset.

The spotlight went to Kyogo Furuhashi on Sunday with a brilliant Hat-trick against Dundee but the Frenchman did come on a despatched a penalty late on to get himself up and running for the season.

After the game, Eddy took part in a five aside game with other subs and players who didn’t make the match day squad.

During the game, SunSport report the Frenchman went over on his ankle and had to limp off with the assistance of the physio.

The striker could now miss Thursday’s game against Jablonec as a result but the wider ramification could be any potential transfer.

If the Celtic star is injured for any length of time — there’s a chance he will need to stay at Celtic beyond this window. If that happens, Eddy would likely go and sign a pre-contract in January and leave for free next summer.

Hoops bosses will be sweating on the injury assessment. We’ll update you as soon as we find out more.

  1. Can’t be moved out if no club is willing to put up the cash for him-he won’t be staying and nor should he.
His era has come & gone. Sad to say it but he’ll barely be missed. The Edouard of 2018/2019 is a different player to the 2021 version.
    Hunger seems to have gone
