CELTIC got their open training day underway at Celtic Park on a very hot Monday afternoon in Glasgow.

The club had promised season tickets holders over a yer ago the even would take place as an extra thank you for loyalty during the pandemic season.

They came good on the promise on Monday as a decent crowd took in the training session in the East End of Glasgow.

One major notable point from the session was Reo Hatate’s inclusion.

The Japanese star has missed the last two friendlies; one through injury and the other through illness. The midfielder trained alone last week to shake off the niggling problem and now he’s thankfully back in full training.

Celtic have a quick turn around time for their next fixture, the bhoys will head to Poland midweek to take on Legia Warsaw in a farewell match for the retiring Artur Boruc.

We’re less than two weeks out from the beginning of the SPFL. Ange will want to make sure there are no injury worries going into the game against Aberdeen at the end of July.

Fingers crossed the bhoys come through the final two pre-season games unscathed.
