Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers on a loan deal until the end of the season.

According to Sky Sports, their latest update suggests the Hoops are looking into a deal for the American defender. However, a deal isn’t looking too likely at this stage, with Spurs wanting a permanent deal rather than a loan.

Of course, that doesn’t put an end to the interest or any sort of talks with around nine hours left in the transfer window to come up with an agreement.

Ange Postecoglou appears to still be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, with several reports suggesting that the Hoops will be looking to the English Premier League loan market for possible solutions in the final few hours of the transfer window.

Fingers crossed that both parties can come to some compromise over a deal. However, the deal may go late into the night for that to happen and be over the line.
