CeltsAreHere understands Celtic have made an approach for Feyenoord right-back Jordan Lotomba, with talks taking place between the clubs over what a deal could look like.
It is another name to emerge very late in the window and, from what we understand, there is interest there from Celtic rather than this simply being a player offered around.
Whether it actually gets much further is another matter.
Lotomba has a year left on his Feyenoord contract and one possibility would be a loan for the season, taking him to the point where he becomes available on a free next summer.

You would imagine Feyenoord would want to protect themselves in that situation, potentially through add-ons, a percentage or some other arrangement if they are going to let a player under contract leave without receiving a normal transfer fee.
Those details would have to be worked out.
What we can say at this stage is that Celtic have spoken to Feyenoord about the player.
And you can see why they are looking at a right-back.
Celtic Defensive Issues
Alistair Johnston is expected to be out until around October/November and Colby Donovan has been the one asked to fill in. The youngster has done himself no harm at all, particularly given the circumstances, but asking him to carry that responsibility for the next couple of months would be a big call.
Anthony Ralston, meanwhile, looks increasingly out of the picture.
Celtic had a similar issue during the second half of last season when Julian Araujo arrived on loan from Bournemouth. His injury eventually curtailed his involvement, although Johnston thankfully returned to fitness and became an important part of the side which dragged itself over the line in that dramatic title race.
Lotomba would give Celtic another experienced option.
At 27, he is also at the point where he will want to play. If his opportunities at Feyenoord are going to be limited, Celtic can offer him football, European games and the chance to establish himself immediately while Johnston is unavailable.
The slightly concerning part is trying to work out Celtic’s wider plan with only days of the window remaining.
There are a lot of conversations going on.
We are hearing about Celtic looking at one player, then before long being told they have moved on and are exploring somebody else. Some of that is normal at this stage of a window. Clubs will have several options live at once and things can change very quickly.
But from what we’re hearing, it does feel pretty chaotic.
After everything that happened last season, Celtic shouldn’t really be arriving at the final few days still trying to piece together important areas of the squad. Yet here we are, with right-back another position being looked at before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

Whether he’s still the one they’re talking about tomorrow might tell you plenty about how these final days are going.
