CELTIC has again been linked with a move for Newcastle shot-stopper Freddie Woodman as the player looks to leave St James’ Park this summer.

Woodman, 22, has been on Celtic’s radar for quite some time and is looking to get first team football next season wherever he ends up.

Reports in the Metro claim Arsenal are also interested in the goalkeeper along with a whole host of clubs.

The Metro writes: The Gunners have joined the race for the 22-year-old stopper alongside the likes of Everton, Fulham and Celtic, who are all keen on bringing him in.

Celtic have Scott Bain as their number one at present but with the managerial situation still to be sorted out, it will be down to the new man in charge to figure out who he wants to start between the sticks.

Woodman has earned rave reviews down south and spent some time in Scotland on-loan at Kilmarnock and Aberdeen. The English goalkeeper will be coming into the last year of his Newcastle contract come the summer and both parties will likely want a deal to be done if Woodman doesn’t sign a new deal, which he has shown no indication of doing.
