CELTIC have made their next big play for the Japanese market by unveiling their new Japanese specific website for the new intake of supporters who have followed Kyogo over from Vissel Kobe.

There has been a large uptake in the interest from Japan, not just from Kyogo, but also from Ange Postecoglou who was a popular figure in the J-League.

Celtic once had a Japanese version of the Celtic website when Nakamura was at the Hoops back in the 00s. Capitalising on commercial opportunities and finding a way to sell merchandise.

We have spoken to people at Celtic who have been working hard behind the scenes to cultivate and serve the Japanese audience going forward.

The effort being put in at this point surely tips a hand to more signings coming in from the J-League in January and perhaps the summer.

If Celtic have two or three first team Japanese starters, there will be an opportunity to do even more business in the country.

Of course, these players have to be up to the task and have what Ange Postecoglou needs. We are sound in the knowledge anyone coming over from the J-League will have Ange’s stamp of approval.

There has been major talk of a deal for Reo Hatate being in the final stages. [Record Sport]

We also have the rumours of Ange looking to link up with his former Yokohama Marinos player, Daizen Maeda.
