The news Lewis Morgan could be a target for Aberdeen with Celtic at least willing to send the player up north if the right deal can be made has been met with mixed reviews.

With the Dons so close to Celtic at the moment, handing them a player of Morgan’s quality could help them keep in touch with Celtic for longer than they maybe would otherwise.

The other argument for sending the player out on loan is he could potentially inflict damage on other teams around us playing for Aberdeen and in doing so, get valuable top-flight experience.

Do the pros outweigh the cons? Or is there another ulterior motive for getting on the Dons good side?

It’s no secret Celtic tried to sign Scott McKenna in the summer with a large £3million bid for the player rejected by the Pittodrie club. There has been no indication Celtic have gone back in for the defender this window BUT Rodgers spoke recently about not bringing in a centre back until the summer because anyone who came in would likely be sitting on the bench until Benkovic and Boyata move on.

Could this be a sweetener for Aberdeen to let their player go at the end of the season?

  1. The show just keeps rolling on and on and on, Here we are again another transfer window getting ready to slam shut, The board, chairman, (chief scout) and manager, Just sitting in their nice comfy chairs, Looking out the window as snowdrops once again fall over Paradise, Saying to themselves just dying for a nice cup of tea or coffee being brought into their nice warm office, After that they all get together and say, Shall we build another snowman or shall we just sign one, Just a little light humour bhoys and ghirls, Never mind shall not be to long until the summer and they can do the same thing all over again & Oh Yes without the snow falling, But if it’s raining !!!
