HENRIK LARSSON has been linked with his first managerial job outside Sweden with English side Southend reportedly interested in hiring the Celtic legend.
Larsson left Helsingborgs for a second time last month after helping steer them to safety. His shock departure the second time he left the Swedish club under a cloud. A legend in his playing days but his managerial career has not gone to plan.
MailSport report Southend will make a play for the former Celtic and Barcelona star to replace Kevin Bond.
Southend have just one point from eight games in League One and are in desperate need of some magic. Could the Swede be up for a new challenge in England?
Many Celtic fans have always liked the idea of Henrik returning to the club one day in an official capacity. The legendary striker looks far away from ever being the Celtic manager but a coaching role would always be welcomed.
If he takes the Southend job it would be a rather underwhelming return to the UK for Larsson but you have to start somewhere.
