CELTIC, Leicester and Blackburn have their eyes on Irish midfielder Mark Sykes, according to the Belfast Telegraph.

The 20-year-old Glenavon midfielder has been attracting a lot of interests from scouts and Celtic are on the lookout for new, younger talent.

If Celtic were to make a bid for the player, the fact that Brendan Rodgers is the Celtic manager would be a big plus.

It’s always going to be a selling point for any young player when they are maybe offered more money to play somewhere else. The pull of learning under Rodgers while having the chance to win silverware can be the clincher.

Many fans may shrug their shoulders when it comes to players like Mark but it shows the Celtic scouts are leaving no stone unturned and no snobbery whatsoever as they try to unearth some top talent before anyone else.
