CELTIC have been linked with a move for Barcelona B winger Alex Collado this Wednesday afternoon.

The skilful midfielder is surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou and may be looking to kick start his career and first team prospects elsewhere.

Collado, 21, is just coming back from injury and could be available before the October deadline.

SunSport report the Scottish Champions are keeping tabs on the player, but as we’ve told you on many different occasions, Celtic’s priority is a left sided wing back type player at the moment. It’s not to say Celtic won’t make a move for another player is a separate position if the deal is right but they know where immediate reinforcements are needed.

TransferMarkt have the player rated at £4m+ right now, but with a year left of his deal and the fact he isn’t in Ronald Koeman’s plans, Celtic could grab a bargain if they choose to pursue the player.

It would be shades of the Marc Crosas deal under Gordon Strachan, the little Spaniard did ok at the club but ultimately didn’t crack the Scottish league, he still remains a massive Celtic supporter to this day.
