Celtic have today been linked with a move for QPR striker Sinclair Armstrong.

The 17-year-old Irish player is out of contract in the summer. Sinclair’s contract with QPR is running out after signing with the club in just October. The short term deal means he’s available and Goal.com report Celtic and Manchester City are interested in the frontman.

Sinclair is highly regarded in the Irish set up but so is Jonathan’s Afolabi and Lee O’Connor who have yet to show they can make the grade at Celtic. Both are out on loan this season to try and prove their worth to the club.

The player made his professional debut at just the age of 15 for Shamrock Rovers back in 2018 and is on an upward trajectory.

Celtic don’t have the best track record latterly of bringing on young players but that could change if the club decide to go a different directions in the near future.
